Construction Begins

After fixing the alignment on my miter saw I mitered the boards for the sides of the case. With some tuning of the corners I glued it up. There is a good amount of chip out where I cut the miters that will need to be dealt with but here we are in the assembly. I will be adding a slight round over to take out the chip outs.

Still to do:
1. Get the artwork finished
2. Cut and paint the base
3. Route out the top for the joystick
4. Drill the holes for the side buttons and top buttons
5. Apply the finish to the sides of the case
6. Setup the Plexiglas for lighting.
7. Hack the game pad
8. Install the controls

As you see there is still quite a bit to do but the first step on real construction has been completed.

Game On!
